Two Super Falcons Players Suspended For Egypt WAFCON Match
Nigeria will be without two players for the Super Falcons’ final Group C match against Egypt at WAFCON 2026 after CAF suspensions.
Punch and Vanguard both reported that defender Oluwatosin Demehin and midfielder Jennifer Echegini are ruled out of the Egypt match. Punch said the suspensions were imposed by the Confederation of African Football.
The development follows Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Zambia, which NaijaTrend reported here. Demehin was sent off in that match, while Echegini also picked up a suspension before the final group fixture.
Vanguard reported that the absences come as Nigeria look to close out the group stage strongly. Punch reported that both players would miss the Egypt game because of the CAF ruling.
The reports did not say whether either player would be available again after the group stage.
