Super Eagles arrive in Bissau for AFCON qualifier
The Super Eagles have arrived in Bissau ahead of Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.
The team travelled from Uyo after opening the qualifying campaign with a 2-1 win over Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Friday.
Vanguard reported, through NAN, that the squad left Victor Attah International Airport after a final training session. Daily Post reported that Eric Chelle’s side had a recovery session on Saturday and trained again on Sunday before the trip.
Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau both started Group L with wins. Daily Post reported that Guinea-Bissau beat Tanzania 2-0 away, leaving Tuesday’s fixture as an early top-of-the-table meeting.
