Tinubu Meets Security Chiefs At Aso Villa Over Insecurity

President Bola Tinubu has met security chiefs at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to review the country’s security situation.

The closed-door meeting focused on developments across different theatres of operation and ongoing efforts against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other security threats.

Vanguard reported that those at the meeting included National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Defence Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff Olufemi Oluyede, Chief of Army Staff Waidi Shaibu and Chief of Defence Intelligence Emmanuel Undiandeye.

Channels TV also reported the meeting, while Guardian tied it to continuing national debate over insecurity and the government’s response.

The meeting came amid renewed pressure on the Federal Government to show clearer results on security, especially in areas affected by armed groups and kidnappings.
