Tinubu Ends 30-Year Abuja Tech Villa Stalemate, Opens City Walk Centre
President Bola Tinubu has opened the Abuja City Walk Experience Centre and said the project ends a 30-year delay around the Abuja Technology Village.
The project is being presented as part of a renewed push to make the Federal Capital Territory a stronger base for technology, investment and urban development. Reports said Tinubu used the opening to tell investors that Nigeria was ready for global business.
The Abuja Technology Village project had been delayed for decades by disputes and slow implementation. The new centre is meant to show what the wider district can become if the government and private partners keep the project moving.
Tinubu said the government would support infrastructure that attracts capital, creates jobs and gives young people more room to build technology-driven businesses. Officials at the event also linked the project to wider plans for a more active innovation and commercial corridor in Abuja.
