Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has removed the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Toyin Balogun, in a minor cabinet reshuffle.

The change takes immediate effect and places the ministry under a new commissioner following a government statement issued on Wednesday.

The statement was signed by Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, and announced the redeployment of a former occupant of the ministry to replace Balogun.

Punch identified the replacement as Faosat Sanni, while Daily Post identified her as Alhaja Joke Sanni. Both reports agree that Balogun was relieved of her appointment and replaced in the ministry.

Makinde thanked Balogun for her contributions to Oyo State and wished her success in her future endeavours.

Punch also reported other appointments, including Ifeoluwa Akande as chairman of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee.

The reshuffle follows other administrative changes announced by the governor this week.
