Keyamo Clears Third-Party Payment Of Obi's N25,000 Airport Fine

Festus Keyamo has cleared the way for a third party to pay the N25,000 airport fine imposed on Peter Obi after the aviation minister accused him of breaching parking rules at the Abuja airport.

The fresh development follows NaijaTrend’s earlier report here on Keyamo’s demand that Obi apologise to airport officials and pay the fine.

Mr Nnaemeka Ikerionwu had offered to settle the fine on Obi’s behalf. Keyamo responded by asking him to liaise with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria for the payment process.

In the response quoted by both reports, Keyamo directed Ikerionwu to the Director of Commercial and Business Development at FAAN, saying he would be guided on how to pay the fine.

The dispute began after Obi said his vehicle was clamped at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. Keyamo later said airport checks, including CCTV footage, showed that the vehicle had been left in a restricted area.
