INEC says 432,843 permanent voter cards have not been collected in Osun State ahead of the governorship election.

The commission said 1,955,657 PVCs had been collected by voters, while the uncollected cards would remain in its custody in line with election procedures.

The figures were released as Osun prepared for the poll, with the commission and security agencies already carrying out final logistics and deployment work.

Daily Post and Premium Times both reported the same collection figures. The update adds voter-card collection data to the final stretch of Osun election preparations.

The uncollected PVC figure means a large number of registered voters may be unable to vote if they have not already picked up their cards before the deadline.
