Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has sworn in 23 commissioners alongside a new Head of Service and other senior appointees.
Channels Television and Daily Trust reported that the inauguration was held at the International Conference Centre in Gombe, with special advisers and a permanent secretary also taking office.
Yahaya urged the commissioners to treat their appointments as a public trust and to focus on delivering the state government’s programmes.
Daily Trust reported that the governor said the administration would continue to pursue its development agenda, while calling on the new officials to work with discipline and accountability.
The appointments expand the governor’s executive team as Gombe moves into the next phase of his administration.
