Former APC deputy national publicity secretary Timi Frank has asked the Presidency to publish the full letter it says United States President Donald Trump sent to President Bola Tinubu.

Frank said the letter should not be presented to Nigerians as a political endorsement unless the Presidency makes its contents public.

The call follows an earlier NaijaTrend report here on the Presidency’s account of Trump’s message and its link to Nigeria-United States security cooperation.

Punch, Daily Trust and Daily Post reported Frank’s reaction on Thursday. He argued that diplomatic correspondence between leaders is routine and should not be used as campaign material without disclosure.

Frank also challenged presidential aides to show where Trump endorsed Tinubu’s performance or future political plans. He said Nigerians deserved to see the letter if officials wanted to rely on it in public debate.

The Presidency had earlier said Trump commended Tinubu’s security efforts and expressed support for Nigeria. Frank’s response puts the issue back into the political space, where opposition figures have questioned how government officials are presenting the letter.
