African Action Congress governorship candidate Doris Ogala has drawn attention online after saying Abia voters have “no choice” but to accept her as the state’s next governor.

Ogala, a Nollywood actress, made the comment during a TikTok Live session. Clips from the session began circulating on Sunday and were reported by Vanguard, Daily Post and Punch on Monday.

She said her emergence as governor was certain and linked the claim to her belief that God had sent her to help the state. The remarks sparked reactions from supporters and critics on social media.

Ogala recently emerged as the AAC governorship candidate for Abia ahead of the 2027 election. After winning the ticket, she said she would challenge Governor Alex Otti and focus on welfare, jobs and economic activity if elected.
