ADC Unveils Governorship Candidates In 28 States For 2027

The African Democratic Congress has named governorship and deputy governorship candidates in 28 states ahead of the 2027 elections.
The list includes Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour in Lagos, former Kaduna governorship candidate Isa Ashiru, former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami and former Delta governorship candidate Great Ogboru.
The party’s national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, announced the list on Friday. The party said the candidates would carry its banner in the states where it has fielded governorship tickets.
Other names reported in the list include Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita in Katsina, Senator Halliru Dauda Jika in Bauchi, Herman Hembe in Benue, Zakari Mohammed in Kwara and retired Brigadier-General John Sunday Sura in Plateau.
The announcement comes as opposition parties continue positioning for the 2027 general elections.
