Sunday Igboho Unveils Security Network to Flush Out Terrorists in South-West
Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Igboho has unveiled a new security network aimed at flushing out terrorists and bandits from the South-West.
Leadership Newspaper reported that Igboho launched the force on Sunday, May 24. Legit.ng also covered it, reporting a video circulating online that shows what appears to be a security officer associated with the group.
There’s been some exaggeration online though — TELL Magazine has done a fact-check and clarified that Igboho has NOT launched a 50,000-man army as some viral reports claimed. They’re urging the public to stick with verified information.
The South-West has seen rising security challenges, with kidnappers and bandits stretching the capacity of conventional security agencies. Igboho’s move mirrors other community security arrangements in the region, including the Amotekun network already operating across South-West states.
