Police authorities have invited social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, and summoned Assistant Inspector-General of Police Moshood Jimoh over allegations linked to two controversial murder cases.

Premium Times reported that the police action followed public claims around the killings of Kehinde Fatinoye and Bukola Fatinoye in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and the killing of Oba Ayinde Odetola in Agodo. VeryDarkMan had publicly challenged parts of the investigations and accused investigators of manipulating evidence.

Vanguard also reported the invitation and summons, saying the police wanted both men to appear over the allegations. The reports named Jimoh, a senior police officer, and VeryDarkMan as the central figures in the latest step.

The police move does not amount to a finding of guilt against anyone. It means investigators are seeking explanations from those named in the allegations and from a senior officer whose conduct has been questioned publicly.

The cases have attracted wider attention because they involve murder allegations, public pressure on the police and claims about how evidence was handled.
