Nigerian Woman Missing After Doha Arrival Found In Hospital

Saratu Jibo Yusuf, the Nigerian woman whose family raised the alarm after she became unreachable following her arrival in Doha, Qatar, has been found in a hospital.

The update eases days of concern after relatives said she could not be contacted after landing on Qatar Airways flight QR1408 from Lagos. NaijaTrend earlier reported the family’s search here.

Premium Times and Daily Trust reported that her brother, Jonathan Jibo, confirmed on Sunday that she had been found. He said she became ill after arriving in Qatar and was taken from the airport to a hospital.

Premium Times said Yusuf, 37, had travelled from Lagos to Doha on September 1 and had last communicated with her family through WhatsApp while on the aircraft’s Wi-Fi. Her family later said she collected her luggage and left the terminal, but they could not reach her.

Jonathan Jibo thanked Nigerians who amplified the search, as well as the Nigerian Embassy in Doha, Qatar Airways and Michael Achimugu, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the NCAA.
