NCAA orders Air Peace compensation after Lagos-Enugu flight disruption

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has directed Air Peace to prepare compensation for passengers affected by a disrupted Lagos-Enugu flight.
The directive followed complaints over the airline’s handling of a Monday morning flight from Lagos to Enugu. The NCAA said its preliminary checks showed passengers received the wrong notification about the disruption.
Human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong complained publicly after arriving for the 6:45am flight and saying the delay would affect a scheduled court appearance in Enugu. The regulator’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, said the matter was being handled and that Air Peace had been asked to come up with a compensation package.
Vanguard also reported that the NCAA demand came after Effiong contacted Achimugu on X. The airline was accused of keeping affected passengers waiting before the disruption was fully explained.
