The military says an air strike killed 15 people it identified as terrorists north-west of Pulka in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
The strike took place at about 11:50pm on October 23, 2026, under Operation Hadin Kai. Ground troops subsequently carried out operations in the area, according to the military.
Captain Mohammed Goni, Acting Military Information Officer of the Joint Task Force North-East, announced the operation in a statement on Saturday. He said it followed intelligence and confirmed sightings of terrorist movements around Pulka.
Goni said the air and ground operations were intended to disrupt the groups’ movements and deny them freedom to operate. He described the strike as part of the command’s continuing offensive in the North-East and said troops would sustain the operations.
The command asked residents to provide security agencies with timely information about suspicious movements and activities.
