Kebbi Hisbah Arrests 25 Youths In Argungu Hotel Raid
The Kebbi State Hisbah Board says it has arrested 25 youths during a raid on a hotel in Argungu over alleged involvement in immoral acts.
Daily Post reported that the Director of Shariah of the board, Sirajo Kamba, confirmed the operation in a statement issued on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi.
Punch and Vanguard also reported the same figures, saying the suspects comprised 12 males and 13 females and that the raid was carried out on July 3.
Kamba said the operation formed part of the board’s effort to curb social vices and promote moral values across Kebbi State.
The board said the suspects would be investigated in line with the law and that anyone found culpable would face the appropriate legal process.
