Court Remands Two ADC Supporters Over Gombe Airport Disruption

A Chief Magistrate’s Court in Gombe has ordered two African Democratic Congress supporters to remain in police custody over the disruption at Gombe International Airport.

The case is tied to the arrival of the ADC governorship candidate, Bala Bello Tinka, at the airport.

Daily Post and Punch named the defendants as Muhammad-Sunusi Abdullahi, also known as Ataka, and Ahmed-Daudu Dinawa, also known as Jadda.

The reports said both defendants pleaded not guilty before Chief Magistrate Aliyu Abubakar, who ordered their remand in police custody.

The matter is one of the early legal fallouts from the airport incident involving ADC supporters in Gombe.
