Court allows Uche Nnaji to travel abroad for medical treatment

A Federal High Court in Abuja has allowed former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, to travel abroad for medical treatment.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik ordered the release of Nnaji’s international passport on Monday after his lawyers applied for the document to be returned to him temporarily. The court fixed October 26 for the continuation of trial.
Nnaji is facing a six-count charge filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission. The allegations include certificate forgery, false information and corruption. He has pleaded not guilty.
Vanguard reported that the court directed him to return the passport before the next hearing date. Daily Post and Channels TV also reported the passport order and the medical-travel application.
