Residents flee Kebbi community after clash kills 15

Residents of Lafagu community in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State have fled their homes after an ethnic clash reportedly killed at least 15 people.

The violence involved members of the Fulani and Kambari communities, according to Daily Post and Channels Television. Both outlets reported that the dead included the community’s traditional leader, though they used different descriptions for the position.

Residents were said to have moved to Bagudo town for safety as tension remained high in Lafagu. The reports did not give a confirmed police casualty statement at the time they were published.

The incident adds to security pressure in parts of Kebbi, where rural communities have faced repeated outbreaks of violence and displacement.
