Atiku Gives Tinubu Seven Days To Order Independent PFIPC Probe

Atiku Abubakar has given President Bola Tinubu seven days to order an independent investigation into the controversy surrounding the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. NaijaTrend’s earlier report on the related PFIPC police charge is here.

Vanguard, Punch and Daily Post reported that Atiku made the demand through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu.

Atiku said the matter had moved beyond ordinary forgery allegations into a question of institutional credibility, given claims about office space, official engagements, salaries and accounts allegedly linked to the disputed agency.

He said Adeniyi Adeyemi should face the law if he committed fraud, but argued that the government must also explain how the alleged operation could have passed through public systems.

Atiku said the investigation should be transparent enough to answer questions about official negligence, approval or collaboration.

The Presidency had earlier dismissed the PFIPC as a non-existent agency and described Adeyemi as an impostor facing prosecution.
