APC Wins All Chairmanship, Councillorship Seats In Edo LG Polls
The All Progressives Congress has won every chairmanship and councillorship seat contested in the Edo State local government elections.
The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission announced the results in Benin City on Sunday, saying APC candidates won all 18 chairmanship positions and all 192 councillorship seats across the state.
The commission said the election was held across Edo’s 18 local government areas and 192 wards. It did not release a ward-by-ward vote breakdown in the reports checked.
The result follows Saturday’s voting, which had earlier drawn attention over low turnout and late arrival of materials in parts of the state. With the final declaration, APC now controls all elected local government seats from the poll.
