The APC presidential campaign council’s support-groups directorate has announced an online registration exercise for organisations backing President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, with an October 22 deadline.
Director Silas Agara said support groups and volunteer networks should register even if they had previously enrolled with the party or other campaign structures.
Agara announced the exercise at a press conference in Abuja. He gave the registration period as October 17 to 22, 2026.
He said registration would help the directorate verify membership, assess the groups’ reach and coordinate their activities across the country.
Agara said the campaign would promote the administration’s economic and institutional policies, including fuel subsidy removal, foreign-exchange changes, tax reforms, student loans and consumer credit. Those were the directorate’s campaign arguments, not an independent assessment of the policies’ results.
The APC has separately proposed presidential appearances in 12 states, beginning in Kaduna on October 24, as NaijaTrend reported here. That itinerary remains provisional.
Agara urged groups to complete registration within the announced period and work with the directorate on grassroots mobilisation.
