The Nigeria Democratic Congress has called for the removal of President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, over allegations linked to the disputed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. NaijaTrend’s earlier report on the police charge involving Adeniyi Adeyemi is here.

Vanguard and Punch reported that the party made the demand in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director.

The NDC said the allegations involving Prince Mathew Adeniyi Adeyemi raised questions about transparency and accountability because the Presidency has said the PFIPC is not a recognised government agency.

The party asked President Tinubu to suspend Gbajabiamila to allow what it described as an unbiased investigation.

It said the dispute had created public questions about how an entity disowned by the Presidency could allegedly interact with official financial and administrative channels.

It also cited claims that the purported agency allegedly secured budgetary allocations and opened accounts with the Central Bank of Nigeria, allegations that remain contested and subject to official investigation.
