The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said that more than 73 per cent of Nigerians disapprove of President Bola Tinubu’s performance, citing a new survey by NoiPolls and Eagle Badger Data Analytics.

The survey, conducted three years into the Tinubu administration, showed that only 30.2 per cent of Nigerians approve of the President’s performance, while over 73 per cent expressed disapproval among those who say their economic circumstances have worsened under the current administration.

According to the poll, 62 per cent of Nigerians said they are worse off now than they were in May 2023 when Tinubu assumed office. The survey also found that food prices have surged by more than 90 per cent since May 2023.

The ADC, in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the figures as a “national rejection” of the Tinubu administration and positioned the party as a credible alternative for the 2027 general elections.

“This is not just a survey. It is a verdict on three years of failed promises, economic hardship, and insecurity,” Abdullahi said.

The party noted that the findings validate its earlier position that Nigerians are yearning for change and that the ADC remains the platform to deliver that change.

The ADC recently adopted former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election, following the merger of his faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with the ADC.
