Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have foiled multiple infiltration attempts by terrorists in Borno State, according to reports citing the military.

Daily Post reported that the attempted movements happened in the early hours of Friday, between about 12:20 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. The report said the attackers tried to move through Muna Garage, Shuwari village and the Ajilari Cross axis towards Maiduguri.

The military said troops detected the movement early and engaged the terrorists from different positions, forcing them to withdraw. Separate attempts were also reported around Miringa and Dutsen Kura in the Buratai axis.

During the pursuit at Miringa, a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle reportedly triggered an improvised explosive device, but no troop casualty was recorded. The military said the situation was later stable.

Vanguard and Tribune also reported that Operation Hadin Kai troops stopped attempted terrorist infiltrations in Borno. The story is separate from the earlier drug-courier case involving a suspected foreign terrorist in the state.
