President Bola Tinubu has renewed the appointments of Abdulhamid Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority and Ali Mohammed Ali as Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria.

The renewed tenures are for another three years. Both men were first appointed to the positions on October 20, 2023.

Premium Times and Punch reported the renewal from a State House statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. The announcement keeps both federal media agency heads in office as the administration continues its communication and public information work.

Dembos has worked in television broadcasting for years and returned to head the NTA under Tinubu’s first appointment. Ali, a former NAN editor and presidential media aide, also retained his role at the government-owned news agency.

The presidency said the renewed appointments take effect for a fresh three-year term.
