The Super Falcons face Zambia in Rabat tonight needing a response after their shock 3-2 defeat to Malawi at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Daily Post reported that forward Uchenna Kanu urged Nigerian fans to keep backing the team, saying the players were also hurt by the opening defeat and wanted support before the Zambia match.

Premium Times described the fixture as a defining test for Nigeria, noting that Zambia arrived in strong form while the Falcons were under pressure to avoid another damaging result in the group.

Nigeria’s loss to tournament debutants Malawi has changed the mood around a side that entered the competition with high expectations. A positive result against Zambia would steady the campaign and keep qualification hopes alive.

The match is scheduled for August 1 at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.
