Stanley Nwabali Returns To Chippa United After Contract Exit
Stanley Nwabali has returned to South African club Chippa United months after leaving the side by mutual agreement.
Chippa United confirmed the goalkeeper’s return on Sunday through its official social media channels, saying he was back with the Chilli Boys in the Eastern Cape.
The Nigeria goalkeeper first joined Chippa United from Katsina United in 2022 and later became one of the Super Eagles’ most prominent players during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Daily Post reported that Nwabali left Chippa United in February after asking for his contract to be terminated. Daily Trust said the months without competitive club football had limited his playing opportunities.
The move gives Nwabali a route back into regular first-team football before upcoming club and international fixtures.
