Sokoto Lawmaker Mourns Nine Yabo Youths Killed On Trip To Lagos

A Sokoto State lawmaker has mourned nine young men from Yabo Local Government Area who died in a road accident while travelling to Lagos.

Abubakar Shehu Shamaki Yabo, who represents Yabo State Constituency in the Sokoto State House of Assembly, described the deaths as a painful loss to their families and the wider community.

The victims were said to have been travelling to Lagos in search of better economic opportunities when the accident occurred.

Yabo said the tragedy reflected the difficult choices many young people face as they leave their communities to seek work elsewhere.

He offered condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the repose of the victims.

The lawmaker also called for community support for the affected families as they deal with the loss.
