FCT police have linked a woman and two workers of a Gwarimpa guest house to the dumping of a man’s body under Katampe Bridge in Abuja.
The man had been reported missing before his body was found along the Kubwa Expressway on August 26. Police said investigators traced his phone to a woman identified in the reports as Rukayat Muhammed, who had lodged with him at the Good Samaritan Guest House in Gwarimpa.
The FCT Commissioner of Police said the man died at the guest house and that the woman allegedly left with his phone instead of raising an alarm. The reports said hotel workers later moved the body and dumped it by the roadside, where it was initially linked in public comments to kidnapping or “one chance” robbery.
Daily Trust, Daily Post and Punch all reported the police briefing on Saturday. Police said the case was being investigated as part of efforts to establish the circumstances of the man’s death and the roles allegedly played by the woman and hotel staff.
