Police Confirm Killing Of Zamfara Bandit Commander Sani Yellow
Police have confirmed the killing of Zamfara bandit commander Kachalla Sani Yellow.
The reports said Sani Yellow was killed in Anka Local Government Area after hunters and Civilian Joint Task Force members repelled a bandit attack. Premium Times reported that police confirmed the death but said they did not take part in the operation.
Sani Yellow was described as an influential bandit commander linked to attacks around Anka, Bukkuyum and Maru local government areas of Zamfara State.
Security sources and residents had accused him of coordinating rural attacks, kidnappings for ransom, livestock rustling and raids that displaced communities in Zamfara and nearby parts of the North-West.
Police did not give further operational details in the reports checked.
