Ogun Police Kill Two Suspected Kidnappers After Prince’s Rescue

Ogun State Police Command says its operatives have killed two suspected kidnappers after the rescue of Prince Idris Adesulu, also known as Osho.

Adesulu was kidnapped from his residence on Ogbe Road at about 7:30 p.m. on June 30, 2026, according to reports citing the police command.

The police said the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, ordered the Anti-Kidnapping Unit and other tactical teams to intensify operations after the abduction.

Vanguard reported that the pressure forced the kidnappers to release the victim unharmed on July 3, 2026.

Police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi said intelligence later led operatives to the Agoro/Imodi axis, where the suspects allegedly engaged them in a gun battle.

Two suspected kidnappers were killed, while other members of the gang escaped with gunshot wounds. The police said officers recovered one AK-47 rifle with an empty magazine, two mobile phones, a suspected ransom bag and other exhibits linked to the operation.
