Nigeria has suspended third-party visa application services for applicants in the United States, directing affected applicants to use Nigerian diplomatic missions instead.

The Nigeria Immigration Service said the suspension affects Online Integrated Solutions, the operator of Nigeria’s Visa Application Centres in the United States, from July 2026 until further notice.

Applicants seeking Nigerian visas are now required to submit applications directly at the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, DC, or at the Consulates General of Nigeria in New York and Atlanta.

The NIS said the directive applies only to visa application submissions handled through the affected centres in the United States.

It added that Nigeria’s electronic visa system is not affected, meaning applicants can still use the official online portal for e-Visa applications.

The service did not give a reason for the suspension or a review date, but said measures had been put in place to support continued visa submission, processing and issuance.
