The Nasarawa State Police Command has presented N30,845,424.03 in insurance benefits to families of deceased officers who served under the command.

The cheques were presented in Lafia by the Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro Mohammed. The command said the money came under Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident benefits.

Police spokesperson Ramhan Nansel said the payment was meant to provide relief and support to families of officers who died while serving the country.

The commissioner thanked the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, for the welfare support and advised beneficiaries to manage the funds responsibly, including by investing in ventures that could support their households.
