Marketers Halt Dangote Fuel Loading As Dollar Sale Row Deepens

Oil marketers have halted fuel loading from the Dangote Refinery after a dispute over dollar-based sales and naira payments, raising fresh concern over petrol supply and pump prices.

The dispute followed the refinery’s decision to suspend naira sales and insist on dollar payments for some transactions. Marketers said the change disrupted loading arrangements and could push prices higher.

Punch reported that the Federal Government had stepped into talks with marketers and the refinery. The refinery denied that loading had stopped completely, but marketers said they were waiting for clearer pricing before placing large orders.
