The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has reopened its National Identification Number alignment service for candidates whose examination records do not match their National Identity Management Commission data.

JAMB said the reopening was a one-time opportunity and warned that applications would undergo verification rather than receive automatic approval.

Candidates must first correct errors in their NIN records through NIMC and confirm that the changes have taken effect before seeking to align their JAMB biodata.

Punch reported that JAMB announced the reopening through its official X account on Friday, October 16. The board advised applicants to review their details carefully and select every required correction in a single submission.

JAMB said a special episode of its JAMB Explained video guide set out the application procedure, eligible fields, verification process and other requirements. Candidates were advised to study it before applying.

The board urged candidates to rely on its official website and verified social media accounts for information, and warned against rushing or submitting incomplete details.
