Igboho Says Injured Iru Ekun Operatives Have Recovered
Yoruba Nation advocate Sunday Adeyemo, widely known as Sunday Igboho, says injured members of his private security outfit, Iru Ekun, have recovered after an ambush in the Old Oyo National Park.
Vanguard reported that Igboho made the claim in a video message released on June 28, where he also dismissed rumours about his health and whereabouts.
Premium Times also reported that Igboho vowed to continue operations against suspected kidnappers after members of his group came under attack in the Oyo forest.
Igboho said the operatives who sustained injuries during the incident had recovered from their wounds.
The update follows an earlier NaijaTrend report here on Igboho’s ultimatum over a kidnapping case in Oyo State.
Vanguard reported that he said he remained safe and would continue efforts against criminal elements threatening communities in the region.
The Old Oyo National Park area has drawn attention in recent weeks following reports of abductions and security operations.
