A fire has gutted the electronics section of Justrite Superstore in the Egbeda-Akowonjo area of Lagos State.
Emergency responders said the fire was brought under control and no casualty was reported in the incident.
Punch, Daily Post and Channels TV reported the fire on Thursday. The reports said firefighters were deployed to the scene after the outbreak affected part of the commercial building.
Lagos fire officials said the affected section contained electronics and other goods, while responders worked to stop the flames from spreading to other parts of the store.
Photos from the scene showed firefighters inside the damaged section of the building, with smoke and burnt items visible around the shopping area.
The fire service said preliminary findings suggested an alternative power source, specifically a solar inverter. Investigations were continuing to determine the exact cause.
