The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has warned Nigerians that online claims about registration for a ₦50,000 National Support Allowance are fake.

The ministry said it had not opened registration for any such payment and urged the public to ignore messages, websites and application links promoting the claim.

The warning followed the circulation of a flyer on social media claiming the programme was being run under President Bola Tinubu’s directives.

Punch identified one suspicious application website in the circulating material as kluspz.com. The ministry told Nigerians to verify information only through official government channels.

The alert comes as online fraudsters increasingly use fake welfare and support-payment notices to target people looking for government assistance.
