FG Plans Rail Link To Lagos Airport As Keyamo Says Talks Are Ongoing
The Federal Government is exploring a rail connection to the Lagos airport corridor, according to Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo.
Reports from Premium Times, TVC News, Vanguard, The Guardian, Channels Television and Leadership all point to the same plan: a rail extension that would improve access between the Ikeja rail corridor and the airport terminals at Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The proposal is tied to wider airport modernisation work, including a reported $500 million terminal reconstruction commitment.
If implemented, the project would reduce road pressure, improve airport access and make Lagos easier to navigate for travellers using both the Red Line corridor and the airport terminals.
