All 154 students affected by the illness at Government Science Secondary School in Batagarawa, Katsina State, have left hospital, the state police command says.
Police spokesperson Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu said in a statement issued on Wednesday that the last 25 students receiving hospital care had been discharged and no deaths were recorded.
The command said the students had rejoined their families and schoolmates after treatment, ending the hospital care required following the incident.
The students fell ill after receiving Praziquantel tablets during a bilharzia treatment and prevention exercise on Monday, according to the police account.
The latest police figure is higher than the 64 students described in the earlier education ministry account of the Batagarawa incident. The reports do not explain the difference between the totals.
Education authorities had said the government would investigate the episode. The latest police statement, as reported, gives a discharge update but does not establish what caused the symptoms.
