At Least 30 Killed In Fresh Attack On Kaduna Community
At least 30 people have been killed after armed men attacked Naridon village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack happened on Sunday night and left homes and shops burnt, according to accounts from the community.
Punch reported that the attackers stormed the village around 11 p.m., opened fire and set houses ablaze. The report said 30 people were confirmed dead, including eight children, while four injured residents were in critical condition.
Daily Post also reported that about 30 people were killed in the same Naridon attack and that several residents were injured or missing after fleeing the community.
A village official told Punch that the death toll could rise because some of the injured were in critical condition. The report said one resident lost five children in the attack, while the only surviving child was badly injured.
Daily Post reported that the Kaduna police spokesperson could not be reached for comment. The report said residents called for stronger security in affected communities so displaced families could return to their farms and homes.
The Kaduna State Government had not issued a fresh public response in the verified reports at the time they were published.
