The All Progressives Congress has denied reports that it withdrew the list of members of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign council.

APC spokesperson Felix Morka said any change to the list would be formally announced by the party, pushing back against reports that the council had been pulled back for review.

The party had released the campaign council with Tinubu as chairman, Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as vice chairmen, former Zamfara governor Abdulaziz Yari as director-general and Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma as secretary.

The list has drawn reactions within and outside the party over names included, names omitted and the presence of some serving officials. Daily Trust reported that party and presidency sources said adjustments were being considered because of those concerns.

Morka, however, said reports of a withdrawal were rumours and that the APC would communicate any update through formal channels. The dispute leaves the council list in public circulation while the party faces pressure over its composition.
