Tinubu Names Yari DG Of APC 2027 Campaign Council
President Bola Tinubu has constituted the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council for the 2027 election, naming former Zamfara State governor Abdulaziz Yari as director-general.
Vice President Kashim Shettima was listed as vice chairman, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was named secretary of the council. APC national chairman Nentawe Yilwatda was also listed as a vice chairman.
The list was released in a statement by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga. Vanguard described it as a 108-member council, while Punch reported the broader list of officials and zonal directors released by the Presidency.
Other named officials include APC National Secretary Ajibola Bashiru and Hadiza Bala-Usman as deputy and assistant secretaries. The list also includes zonal directors and party figures assigned to campaign roles across the country.
The move gives the ruling party an early formal campaign structure more than a year before the polls.
