Davido Questions INEC Over Delay Uploading Osun Results
Davido has questioned the Independent National Electoral Commission over what he described as a delay in uploading results from Saturday’s Osun governorship election to the IReV portal.
Punch and Vanguard reported that the singer, whose uncle Governor Ademola Adeleke is seeking re-election, addressed INEC on X and said no result had appeared on the portal as of 2:33pm.
He asked the commission to provide transparent and timely updates, and urged voters to stay at their polling units until results were uploaded. Punch also reported that he encouraged voters to confirm that figures were entered on the electronic EC8A result form.
The IReV portal allows the public to view polling-unit result uploads, a process often watched closely during major elections. Davido’s comments came while voting and local collation activities were still drawing attention across Osun State.
The reports did not include a fresh INEC response to Davido’s allegation. His claim is attributed to him, while the demand for result uploads is reported as part of election-day public scrutiny.
