Osun Monarch Denies Authorising Adeleke Endorsement
The Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Oyedotun, has denied authorising any endorsement of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
The monarch said he did not approve any political endorsement in his name. He made the clarification after claims circulated that traditional rulers in the area had backed Adeleke for another term.
Punch reported that the monarch insisted he did not authorise the endorsement. Daily Post also reported his denial, saying the matter had stirred political reactions in Osun.
The denial adds another layer to early political positioning in Osun, where parties and support groups are already preparing for the next governorship contest.
