Kano Pillars Appoint Daniel Ogunmodede As Technical Adviser

Kano Pillars have appointed Daniel Ogunmodede as their new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Premium Times and Channels TV reported that the club announced the appointment on Friday. Channels TV said the Kano-based side, also known as Sai Masu Gida, confirmed the move in a post on its X handle.

“We’ve reached an agreement to appoint Daniel Ogunmodede (Ijaball) as our new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/2027 football season,” the club wrote, according to Channels TV.

Premium Times, citing a statement issued in Kano by club media director Isma’eel Tangalashi, said the appointment is part of a restructuring effort aimed at strengthening the technical bench and improving performances in domestic and continental competitions.

Ogunmodede joins from Remo Stars, where Channels TV reported he led the club to its maiden NPFL title in the 2024/25 season. Premium Times said he replaces Muhammad Babaganaru.

Kano Pillars finished 15th last season with 48 points from 38 matches, according to Premium Times.
