Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a cabinet reshuffle affecting advisers and senior aides in his administration.

Punch reported that the affected officials include all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, as well as the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the governor.

The development was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola, who described it as a minor cabinet shake-up.

Daily Post also reported that the aides had been relieved of their appointments, including the deputy chief of staff and principal private secretary.

According to the statement cited by both outlets, the decision was taken to extend opportunities to more members of the ruling party and bring fresh energy into the administration.

The governor thanked the affected appointees for their service and wished them well in their next endeavours.

He also directed them to hand over government property in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
