A magistrates’ court in Kano has remanded Aliyu Nasir over allegations that he stabbed Magaji Dalladi to death and seriously injured another man, Aminu Nura.
Nasir appeared before Magistrate Abdulaziz Mahmud at Magistrates’ Court No. 15 in Nomansland on charges of murder and causing grievous bodily harm.
The court ordered him held in a correctional facility until November 12, 2026, pending government advice, according to the accounts of the proceedings in Daily Trust and Daily Post. Prosecuting counsel Auwal Sani Dandago presented the case.
The reports said the alleged attack followed a disagreement over driving space along Sokoto Road in Kano. Dalladi reportedly died from his injuries, while Nura was receiving treatment.
The charges are allegations and have not been established in court.
